THE LOCAL combines photographs and audio portraits to introduce people to each other. It explores cultural identity and cultural adaptation in urban Melbourne.

THE LOCAL asks two questions: What have you given up in order to merge with mainstream culture? And what do you hold onto in order to feel like yourself? Explore the project at www.holdon-letgo.com
