Things are so familiar at a point, that they become strange. The work I am exhibiting is about how I want to catch and show reality. I intentionally use ‘close-ups’ in order to obtain an abstraction which spectators often call: dreamlike, mysterious or even poetic.

I am interested in looking for the details, the patterns, the lines, the form, shape and colours that complete a subject. I am utilizing those key features to reinterpret reality. It is those key elements that will help the spectator to construct his own vision and project any emotion he has.

The pictures presented are almost never reframed, they are not staged either, I only slightly rework saturation, neatness and contrast. Everyday objects are the best subjects I can find. Those we do not pay attention to anymore. There is no single interpretation of reality – there is only a specific stare at it.
